After a pleasantly mild week, the day of the Zevenheuvelen run turned out rather chilly. But… no wind and dry skies, perfect conditions to smash a personal best! In total, 11 ING runners (plus a few undercover colleagues) lined up at the start. Before scattering into the various start zones, we squeezed in a group photo and, of course, swapped our predicted finish times. For some, the mission was “new PR or bust”, while others were more in the “let’s just survive and enjoy the scenery” camp. And what scenery it was, one of the most beautiful routes, especially in autumn.Happily, everyone crossed the finish line, and rumour has it a few PRs were shattered. Some runners were apparently so fast they outran the timing system and didn’t even make it onto the results list! Big thanks to the ING Runners Board for organising yet another great event!
